Suvir Mirchandani's research project found that by switching to a more efficient typeface for printed documents, the federal government could save as much as $136 million per year.

While switching to electronic documents is preferable, it will be impossible to eliminate all printing needs. For those documents the government does print, it would make sense to switch to a more efficient typeface, such as Garamond.
