Adopt a new program for Organ Donation called the "Opt-Out" System.

Created by H.M. on March 11, 2014

We the people of the United States are in need of a new Donation System. According to organdonor.gov "Each day, about 79 people receive organ transplants. However, 18 people die each day waiting for transplants that can't take place because of the shortage of donated organs." To simply solve this issue we can adopt a program such as Austria's "Opt-Out" system. For example, Germany, which uses an opt-in system, has an organ donation consent rate of 12% among its population, while Austria, a country with a very similar culture and economic development, but which uses an opt-out system, has a consent rate of 99.98%. The Opt-Out program is by default unless you act you are bound to donate your organs upon your demise. By doing this we can save the pointless deaths of 18 people daily.
