Every year I pay 100% of my taxes. I want to have the direct ability to tell our government where a percentage of my tax obligation is required to be spent. For example Cancer Research, Mars Mission, Better Protective Equipment for our soldiers, Roads and Bridges, etc.
It might be 10% of my total tax burden but having this ability would give me an equity stake in the money I send to the US Treasury. Further if a person files a tax return and requests that their directed tax portion go something unavailable then those funds should go to general debt reduction.
This would be real democracy.
