In the Westminster system, the defeat of a supply bill (one that concerns the spending of money) automatically requires the resignation of the government or dissolution of Parliament, much like a non-confidence vote, since a government that cannot spend money is hamstrung.
It is the opinion of this petitioner that we must enact similar rules if our grand experiment in democracy is to have any chance of succeeding, as our current representatives, on both sides of the aisle have failed us. We need a clean slate.
