We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Adoption: Allow responsible teenagers the chance to raise a family, and more children a chance at a loving home.

Created by C.H. on June 24, 2016

With over with over one hundred thousand children available for adoption in the United States foster care system, why not let teenagers adopt?
We all mature at are own rate, some teenagers are ready to raise children. Only a few hundred years back, the idea of a teenager raising a child, was both well heard of, and accepted.
Some teenagers (like myself) feel ready to welcome a child into their home, we follow the rules and don't want to have sex, so we are denied the chance to light up a child's world, purely because we are the ones following the rules and acting responsibly.
Children are not adopted quickly, the children in foster care often wait over three years before getting adopted, and many never are. More loving homes should not be a problem, regardless of age.
Let us adopt.
