To adress the negative effects , of being labeled for life, as convicted felons, and their communities.

Created by R.K. on June 11, 2013

We contend that, being labeled for life as , Convicted felons. further marginalize , people of color and poor whites. We see this as another form of slavery , by another name. A system that permanently and legally discriminate against some one after, they have served their time, by way of, housing, education, jobs, food stamps in some cases and the right to vote, all while being taxed. In some cases, they are saddled with court cost, fines and back child support. What are they suppose to do ? How are they to survive ? How can they realistically expected to be reintegrated back into the mainstream society ? With all those shackles and restrictions . No sane person can expect them to overcome all of those listed above burdens. Are they really expected too ? The communities need relief.
