The purpose of this petition is to improve the quality of life for the working class. My proposal includes full time employees receiving 5 weeks of paid vacation per year and full time being reduced from 40 hours/5 days a week to 32 hours/4 days a week.
As a society, we are working too hard and not getting enough time to enjoy life. Reducing the work hours and increasing the paid vacation will allow people to improve their work/life balance. If not a Mandatory policy for all corporations, one option is to let this policy change be voluntary. Corporations that follow the guidelines for this policy would be able to receive a tax break or incentive for improving the life of employees.
I would like to ask the White House to look into improving the work/life balance of Americans.
