Advise Attorney General Eric Holder to immediately order the DEA to reclassify marijuana as a Schedule III drug.

Created by K.T. on September 04, 2012

A recent government study at the University of California Center for Medicinal Cannabis found that marijuana has legitimate medicinal benefits. "Based on evidence currently available the Schedule I classification is not tenable; it is not accurate that cannabis has no medical value, or that information on safety is lacking. It is true cannabis has some abuse potential, but its profile more closely resembles drugs in Schedule III (where codeine and dronabinol [synthetic THC] are listed)." The study also found that reclassification is needed immediately to open the way for more clinical trials. If Attorney General Eric Holder orders the DEA to remove cannabis from the drug schedule, or to reclassify cannabis .... more trials can go forward....more people can find relief.
