Federal spending is out of control. Many states have their constitutions which require them to balance their budgets.
The federal government can't keep borrowing to spend money and must cut spending, while reforming the tax system to stimulate the economy and increase revenues from economic growth.
A Balanced Budget Amendment should propose that the federal budget be balanced within five years of being amended to the Constitution.
