Signers of this petition urge President Obama to advocate the creation and implementation of a constitutional amendment that sets term limits on members of the House of Representatives in order to prevent the stagnation of ideas, the entrenchment of partisan conflicts between congressional leaders, and to ensure that during elections no constituent is left with only one person to vote for on the ballot due to an incumbent's connections or massive campaign funds. There is no democracy in an election if citizens have no choice in their representation.
