Dear Mr. President,
The NHL’s lockout has put the League’s future on thin ice.
The work stoppage has had a trickle-down-effect on NHL arena employees losing wages; local businesses losing revenue, forcing nationwide staff cuts; and unemployment.
While you have voiced your displeasure over the labor impasse, we hope you go one step further.
As our President, please request a meeting with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, NHLPA representative Donald Fehr, and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Hunter.
This concentrated effort will put the issue behind us all and drive the US and Canadian economies forward.
By the way, you’ve been noticeably missing from NHL arenas. We hope you will drop the puck at this season’s first NHL game.
Mahalo
P.S. This would make a great holiday gift.
