Advocate for a Homeless Bill of Rights

Created by J.C. on December 05, 2012

We ask that the President support a federal law that protects a person's rights and ensures they are not denied solely because someone is homeless. This includes, but not limited to, the right for the homeless to use public spaces as any other citizen, equal treatment by police and all state and municipal agencies, protection from employment discrimination based on their lacked of housing address, the right to legal counsel equal to any other citizen, and the right to fair and decent housing and access to safe and proximate shelter until such housing can be attained.
