We the undersigned do petition President Obama to reaffirm the place that God has in America.
When on this site petitions are put up asking to remove our national motto - "In God We Trust" - from our currency, and the words "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance, it is necessary for us to take a stand against this.
We do not seek a theocracy. But we seek to make aware that God is a crucial part of life to Jews, Christians, and Muslims. Our republic has lasted precisely because we admit that there is indeed a Higher Power.
THEREFORE we do ask President Obama to resist any and all attempts to remove God from the American conscience.
