The citizens of the State of Ohio who recognize the legitimate authority of the federal government, and those who, within their rights as Americans, disagree with that government, but who desire to enact change in this nation through civil and democractic means, wish for the Obama administration to continue to recognize our great State as a proud member of the United States of America.
The majority of citizens in the State of Ohio do not wish to secede. It is with sincerity and the deisre for rational and calm political discourse that we petition to remain citizens of our mother nation, not only for the sake of mutual understanding, but for the sake of promotion of civilized political discourse -- not only in the State of Ohio, but in all of these United States.
