We believe American ex-felons who were convicted of non-violent crime, and who are shown to possess no mental shortcomings, should have a clear and fair pathway towards regaining their constitutional right to own firearms.
Our position is that ex-felons convicted of crimes such as tax fraud, computer crimes, money laundering, mail tampering, and other non-violent felonies who can prove they can maintain a civil lifestyle for a certain period of time (5 yrs?) after release from confinement and completion of any parole or community service associated with their sentence should have a clear and fair path to firearms rights restoration.
These non-violent ex-felons ARE STILL American citizens and have every right to own a firearm.
