As the U.S. withdraws troops from Afghanistan in 2014, no man or woman should be left behind. This includes the Afghan interpreters who have lead Western forces through hostile areas for the last 12 years and now feel their lives are in jeopardy. Unfortunately, the State Department is rejecting or sitting on a growing number of their visa applications. The visa process needs to be streamlined in order to save the lives of these men who helped save thousands of lives. Not only are the interpreters in danger however, but their families are in great risk as well. Terrorist organizations will not remember the soldiers who imprisoned them but the interpreter who led these forces to them. This is why this issue must be solved. They helped us when we were in need, its time to repay the debt.
