The African/African American - Voice of Freedom Proclamation

Created by V.C. on July 19, 2016

We, the people, petition President Barack Obama to reaffirm the promise of inalienable rights to all Americans, inclusive of African Americans. We are requesting a Presidential Proclamation that acknowledges the significance of African Americans to American historical and contemporary progress and recognizes their intrinsic value as vital members of the global human family. Formerly enslaved and segregated, African Americans exhibited greatness despite reproach, indignities, impoverishment, shame and mass rejection. Their stunning accomplishments in science, civics, religion, government, literature, arts and sports during years of inhumane oppression speak of African American intellectual prowess, heroism and nobility.
