After the recent murder of Alton Sterling, a concern has been raised. Confirmed reports were released that an officer involved in the Sterling shooting was suspended in 2014. Two years ago, Officer Howie Lake was suspended for his involvement in the shooting of an African American man.
Americans are frustrated that officers who were placed on administrative leave for negligence can return to their jobs and presumably put more lives at risk. Concerned Americans, like myself, are asking the federal government to propose a new administrative policy which guarantees that officers found guilty of negligence, should be indefinitely removed from the police force and prohibited from working in any law enforcement agency in the future. No more lives should be taken due to blatant neglect.
