We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Age-appropriate minors should have say in their own medical decisions, except when parents and doctor strongly disagree

Created by S.A. on November 09, 2016

Nationally, minors ages 15 and up should have the right to refuse or accept medical treatment they deem as necessary. Often, parents refuse medical care to their child on religious grounds, which has killed the child in many instances. In other circumstances, minors by force receive controversial, risky treatment, such as chemotherapy, without approval of such treatment. If parent(s)/guardian(s) and doctor strongly disagree on the minor's decision, then the parents' or doctor's decision should override the minor's decision, unless the minor feels strongly enough to take it to court. This process will provide protection to many children in the United States of America and give them a right to their own future well-being.
