Agree that there is no Logan Act violation and no treason in the actions taken by the 47 senators.

We have witnessed many actions in the past years that could be considered treasonous or unconstitutional. This is not one of those actions. An open letter advising another party that has hostile intent for this great nation is a letter sent with good intent! The letter states that the U.S. may not stick to the agreement written by our current president by the next administration. That shouldn't be taken as treason in any way, but that should tell the hostile party that the U.S. is not playing games. Any deal other than "no nukes period" is a bad deal. I believe the senators were simply implying that Iran should come to the negotiating table with honest and good intentions and then stick to the rules. We have one official that governs by the pen and not by the legal citizens wishes.
