As Cool Hand Luke said, "What we have here is a failure to communicate." Big Food has been dictating the terms of the agricultural conversation by saying that more chemicals and genetically modified organisms (gmo's) are needed "to feed the world". In reality the core problem is the mono-crop format in which much of our food is grown. This unnatural approach is not only responsible for generating vast amounts of CO2, it also represents a lavish feast for insects, weeds and disease which creates a perceived need for Big Foods' toxic solutions. Abolish mono-cropping and establish safe krofting, polyculture and agroecolgy systems that can feed us all while sequestering massive amounts of CO2.
