Agricultural reform to prevent misuse of farm antibiotics that cause food allergies and antibiotic resistant bacteria.

Created by E.M. on September 18, 2015

The misuse of antibiotics is abundant. It is well documented that doctors have prescribed antibiotics inappropriately for years which has caused antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria. But this isn't the only misuse of antibiotics, 80% of antibiotics used in America are used in livestock. Antibiotics are used in growing crop plants, and by feeding livestock these crops, causes a plethora of issues that affect consumers in this country. Cows are fed tainted corn which makes them sick and are given antibiotics as a preventative medication. This leads to the creation of antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria.
Along with glyphosate, antibiotics are also found in pesticides, fungicides and herbicides. These antibiotics kill your healthy gut bacteria and lead to many health issues.
