This petition is to request aid in setting up equal and fair regulation under the 2nd Amendment. The right to bear arms has been regulated only towards firearms and has eliminated the right to bear other arms.
A set of regulations that would equate to a similar standard as that for concealed carry permits. As weapons of the "live" steel category: swords, fighting knives and the like are much more limited in range and reach compared to firearms.
To establish a set of regulations that require people to show not just ownership, but demonstrated skill and discipline equal to that needed for conceal carry.
As well as setting up a system for serial numbers and registration for those that reach a rank of swordsman to sword master. For both them and their "live" steel blade.
