For the sake of the survival of the human species, the US government, the world's sole superpower since 1991, should henceforth, it is posited, begin considering the establishment of a world government. This government would be the creation of all nations and would protect human freedom, dignity, and survival. This government should be federative, composed of the nations of Earth, autonomous and democratic but nonetheless bonded into a coherent, authoritative whole; in addition, it could not be manipulated by big business or any religious or fringe organizations for their own benefit.
May this goal be the US government's and the world's until it is achieved through free, democratic, and rational action.
