My name is Robin Claude Perry Mayrand, an electrical engineering student at Florida International University who has given back to his community countless times and continues to better it. I have come from Canada back in 2001 at the age of 6. I have done my whole schooling here from 1st grade to my soon to be graduation from university.
Alongside my American classmates, I have learned not only the language but the culture and the history . I am a very ambitious and I know I can achieve great things in this beautiful country. However, after all these year, I'm being told I can't; because I was born on the wrong side of the border. I've accomplished so much here, yet I'm told I can't stay, that I'm temporary. I have nothing else back in Canada, my life is here, and I do not want to give up.
