As Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia wrote: "If there was any constitutional issue resolved by the Civil War, it is that there is no right to secede". Therefore, this petition asks that the secessionists among us be aided by the federal government in negotiating their emigration to another country, due to the impossibility of ever attaining their goals. It also asks that the federal government give aid in the form of transportation dollars to assist them with their moving costs. This will be money well spent, as helping them to leave OUR country will be a boon for those who remain as it will afford US fewer distractions as we continue on OUR path of forming a more perfect union, as exemplified in the preamble of OUR Constitution.
