Dear Mr. President,
(Attn: Ambassador Catherine M. Russell)
You have been an advocate for women and global gender equality since the beginning of your presidency. Breaking ground on September 25, 2012 by announcing unprecedented government action to combat one of the greatest human rights abuses of our time—human trafficking — which affects more than 20 million people around the world, most of them women and children.
Today we ask you to honor your commitment to women's rights and humanity. This is a call to action, to assist in the rescue of over 2500 women and children currently being imprisoned, sexually abused, and sold by Isis slavers in Iraq. We are asking you to lead the way in bringing this nightmare to an end, and help give these women and children back their human rights.
