Human Rights which have been habitually and recently violated by the Venezuelan government (violations have been documented) include: freedom to peaceful assembly or association; right to life, liberty, and personal security; freedom from arbitrary arrests and exile; freedom of opinion and information; and freedom from State or Personal interferences of all rights.
Recent peaceful protests have been spawned by: notorious election results, 50% annual inflation of national currency, terror due to violent delinquency, unavailability of basic consumer goods, and the corruption of governmental functions. These peaceful protests often lead to many being murdered or wounded by Police or the National Guard.
We urge the White House to help protect the Human Rights of Venezuelans.
