All women have different hair types. Air Force policy states that hair must be neat, professional and well-groomed. Dreadlocks should be excepted as long as they follow those guidelines. It is unjust to say that dreadlocks are not authorized for whatever reason. Some hair types may be extremely difficult to constantly maintain the image that is expected of them. Braids are allowed but dreads are not much different at all.Two branches of the armed services have already allowed dreadlocks, so what makes the Air Force different? As long as females dreadlocks are maintained then there shouldn't be any reason for not allowing them. This will help a lot of women.
