We the People formally request President Obama outlaw alcohol and tobacco
In the response to our Petitions regarding “Marijuana” the Obama Administration cited the National Institutes of Health Cannabis' studies associated its use is with addiction, respiratory disease, and cognitive impairment
According to the National Institutes of Health
Tobacco use is the leading preventable cause of disease, disability, and death in the United States. Between 1964 and 2004, cigarette smoking caused an estimated 12 million deaths
Approximately 79,000 deaths annually are attributable to excessive alcohol use
Since the U.S. Government sees fit to protect it's citizens from the dangers of Cannabis We believe it should also apply the same standard to the far more dangerous substances tobacco and alcohol
