If the United States Postal Service is in such a financial predicament then why not move all mailboxes to one side of the road so deliveries would be done quicker and less fuel would be used. We have made this suggestion to our local office but the post master there doesn't listen to anyone. The time and cost would be so substantial raising the price of postage would probably never need to be done again.
