End the ability of congress to vote their own pay raises and benefits. An immediate 40% pay cut to all federally elected and appointed officials. A 50% cut to all expense accounts. All federal elected and appointed persons will pay into Social security and Medicare just like the rest of the Citizens. this will effect all former, present and future officials. Former officials will begin drawing from social security at the appropriate amount. the current pension and insurance plan funds will be deposited into social security and Medicare .
