On January 10, 2013, President Obama signed into law that taxpayers will pay for the lifetime security of former presidents (including Obama in four years) and their families. This repeals previous legislation limiting free security for former presidents and their families for ten (10) years after leaving office.
We the People hereby demand: that after one (1) year from leaving office, all former presidents, wives and children, must pay for their own security detail; or reimburse to the US Treasury, all costs and expenses for a Secret Service or any other government supplied security detail. This will retroactively apply to former presidents George W. Bush and William J. Clinton, who have each made over $100 million dollars since leaving office based upon being former presidents.
