all healthcare facilities to provide written estimates for services and line item descriptions of costs prior to service

the healthcare business is the only business operating today in america where and individual does not get a written estimate of costs for the services provided therefore the possibility of competition in this field is almost null and void ! it leaves the individual with no opportunity to choose the best priced hospital . no hospital that i know of provides the individual with a line item cost of services prior to treatment so that one might shop around for the best price ! i believe if americans are forced to have health insurance i believe it is only fair the federal government forces the hospitals and healthcare facilities to provide up front written estimates and line item costs for each service rendered prior to being rendered!
