All infant and toddler products should have ingredients provided to consumers, including diapers, wipes, hygiene

Created by K.H. on December 06, 2013

Conventional disposable diaper companies are not required to provide consumers with ingredient information. The information cannot be found on the packaging or company website. Plastics are the main makeup of today's diapers and these plastics emit volatile organic compounds including toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, and dipentene. Also, fragrances, dyes, and lotions are added which have been linked to developmental and reproductive toxicity. The bleaching process used in the creation of diapers creates dioxins which is a known cancer causing chemical. I petition that all baby and toddler products be mandated to provide ingredients just as baby food is required. This change would also help the environment, but most importantly, help our innocent little ones.
