The patent system is full of people and/or companies that attempt to stop innovation by applying for and obtaining a software patent for the soul purpose of causing less innovation.
If this petition is approved, it will free up patents to allow innovation and stop the unnecessary law suits and costs to our legal system. It will also allow future advancement in software and technology. Do not allow patent trolls continue what they are doing. Vote yes.
