All laws passed by the legislature, shall apply to the members of the legislature

Many of our public officials are exempt from the very laws that they have created. This includes Judges, and many other appointed positions.
How can it be that a LAW that was created by them, not also be applicable to them?
This is an insult to the people who gave them this very power.
All laws created must be applicable to everyone with no exceptions.
For instance, gun control laws do not pertain to these officials.
In most states EVERYONE is required to have a permit to carry a gun. They have exempted themselves.
Time for them to be governed under the same rule as all of us little people.
