The White House is no place for a bigot, yet President-elect Trump has chosen Steven Bannon, a known bigot for his chief adviser. This is not a matter of politics, it is a matter of common decency that should concern all Americans.
We request that President Obama, and all living former US Presidents physically able to do so, should request a meeting with President-elect Trump to impress upon him the gravity of what he has done. Together, these men represent 32 years of experience in the Oval Office, and they may be the only people capable of convincing Mr. Trump to change course before more damage is done to the unity of our nation.
