All politicians should learn about firearms before they create new laws about them.

I hear over and over again all terms about firearms being misconstrued. Not only terms, but pretty much everything about them.
I'm proposing that all politicians should have to educate themselves on everything firearm related. From the different parts of firearms to going out and trying a good amount of them, especially to learn the difference between automatic and semi-automatic . And to add to this, they should have to read the constitution and the bill of rights so they know what they are pledging an oath to.
This should at least give them an understanding on what they are making a law for and sound somewhat intelligent in a debate.
