Many psychologists and pediatricians are finding that students are not getting the sleep that they need to do well in school, whether due to homework from multiple Honors and AP classes, after school activities, or just because they fall asleep late at night because teenage brains are wired to fall asleep later in the night. This is permanently damaging the minds of the adolescents that will one day be running this country. Sleep is necessary for these adolescent's minds to grow and repair from the stress and emotional struggles that they are put through each day. Letting them sleep the required number of hours will not only relieve them of the stress, but also they will actually learn and have a longer attention span, they will have better memory, and being tardy will be less common.
