All student loan interest should be completely tax deductible.

Created by K.L. on March 07, 2013

All student loan interest should be completely tax deductible. Now that student loans are through Direct Student Loans (the US government), borrowers pay for their education by paying interest to the government. Americans get paid and taxed on their income and then pay the government MORE money in interest for their educational loans. This double dipping of the government takes advantage of the average American who attends college and comes out with student loan debt.
If student loan interest were completely tax deductible, this would help boost the economy; there would be more money for the borrower to spend and stimulate the economy.

Educated Americans build the future of America. Change the $2500 deductible cap on student loans to all educational loan interest is deductible.
