All unregistered weapons should be subject to Fines and Penalties.

I would recommend minimum $10,000 fine for each unregister weapon and $25,000 for each high powered assault weapon. Also, there should be fine of $2500 for any gun owner violates the safeguard procedures.

Not only, it would help to control and better accountability of all weapons but it may create a good source of revenue for the government.
