All Veterans should have basic rights under the law without regard to war zone service.

Created by D.K. on September 22, 2011

It is importantant we keep our military strong, both in peace time and in times of war. After serving in the US Coast Guard for over 8 years (1979-1987), but serving in peace time, and not in a war zone, I soon saw the discrimination in the VA system. Veterans that were stationed far behind the front lines just one day, were recieving full benefits, some were discharged with less then 6 month's in service, yet they get prefriential treatment in the VA system. At the same time, it was considered a war on drugs, that was said by everyone from the President to local law enforcement, yet today that war that continues today is not recognized officially. Acknowledge the war on drugs, and give our Veterans the same basic rights that fought other wars!
