The electorate is an antiquated system which disenfranchises the votes of the American people as a whole. No other democratic nation on earth over-rides the collective wishes of its people like the American electoral system does.
For those who insist we must keep this ancient system because it is what the founding fathers wanted. I ask you this. Should we go back to allowing only white landowners to vote? For that is how the original system was. Yet we made a change.
Should we go back to allowing only men to vote? for that also was what the founding fathers felt was "best". Yet we made a change.
We are not our founding fathers. We are a modern people whose constitution says WE THE PEOPLE and FOR THE PEOPLE. Lets make those statements true.
Abolish the electorate. ALL VOTES MATTER!
