All women should have access to paid maternity leave if they work for a business for a certain amount of time

How is a woman expected to properly care for a newborn if she is not receiving any income during her maternity leave? How can you care for a baby when your worried about how you will pay rent, insurance, phone bill, medical bills, etc. Why do some people get maternity leave and others dont, it should be available for everyone. No woman should go through pregnancy worrying about whether she can provide for her newborn. Pregnancy is rough, having a living human growing inside of you is far from easy, it shouldn't be a time to stress over how you will afford food and shelter
