Allocate Federal funds for a department of Silly Walks, in order to combat childhood obesity.

In the war against childhood obesity, we do not believe Mrs. Obama’s “Let’s Move Initiative” is quite enough. One of the major contributing factors to childhood obesity is that video games and other things associated with a sedentary lifestyle are just more interesting than playing outside. To make playing outside and even just walking to the bus stop more interesting we propose setting aside federal funds to establish a Department of Silly Walks (DoSW). This Department can aid in the development and dissemination of interesting i.e. “silly,” ways of walking to encourage children to have fun while being active.
