Nowhere is society advancing more rapidly than in the field of biotechnology, which offers great promise in the area of defense. As America faces increasing threats from enemies at home and abroad who do not conform to traditional military paradigms, it is imperative that we use our biotechnological resources for defense purposes. In light of this, my colleagues and I have devised a grand approach. With adequate government funds, we plan to combine the DNA of today's most successful predator - the great white shark - with the fossilized DNA a dinosaur, the once and future king of the reptiles. The resulting creature would act similar to a police or military guard dog and would ensure US strategic dominance in the increasingly complex sociopolitical landscape of the future.
