The current official National Defense budget is just under 700 Billion dollars. This is a large sum of tax payer money put towards externally destructive efforts that are only marginally defensive. We should allocate a large portion of this money to internally constructive efforts such as public education, Social Security, public works; in order that we may insure the the future success of our children, nation, and ultimately, the prosperity of the global economy.
Education is the key to the future success of Humankind. Compassion (i.e. Social security) is the key to future happiness of humankind. A peaceful nature is the key to building and maintaining that future.
Stop the destruction of the present, so that we may build the future.
