Sachem Schools are in danger of eliminating its co curricular activities such as clubs, sports and other school functions. New York State has denied the schools the necessarry funds needed to maintain the after school clubs, sports and other school-sponsored events that students like me, enjoy and take advantage of. After school clubs provide a way for students to make friends with similar interests. Sports provide a sense of friendly competition, and allows students to hone their athleticism without having their parents ask for money. These school-functions are integral for students as it supplements the learning part of school with a sense of enjoyment, individualism and comfort. I am speaking on behalf of every student of every school district that is under the same predicament.
