In the 2011 State of the Union, President Obama issued a statement which read:
"...as many as a quarter of our students aren't even finishing high school, The quality of our math and science education lags behind many other nations. America has fallen to 9th in the proportion of young people with a college degree."
As an American who is close to completion of his college education, I see many others who are having difficulty in gaining access to adequate funds for a college education. I see people who are discouraged from further education because of poor experiences in high school.
This nation would like to have students who excel in math and science, but schools are not receiving enough funding to do so.
As such, I call upon the Obama administration to give more money for education
